My article, "Human as a Multidimensional Harp: A Convergence between Therapeutic Music and Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy", published in the proceedings of the 7th Biennial Conference of the Interdisciplinary Society for Quantitative Research in Music and Medicine (ISQRMM 2023) in the United States, represents one of the first scientific studies on the frequencies of the human body. Thanks to Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy (VAHT), an innovative technique that uses the harp to explore bodily resonance, it was possible to identify how 50 different frequencies interact with the human body.
The concept of bodily frequencies fascinates many sound therapy practitioners and the general public, yet today, there are many inaccuracies in this field. In particular:
There is no single universal frequency that works for everyone.
There is no fixed frequency for each organ or body part that applies to everyone.
These hypotheses, while bringing a more vibrational perspective to healing, remain reductive compared to the more holistic and complex approach of quantum medicine. In the mechanistic paradigm of traditional medicine, the human body is primarily seen as a biological machine, with malfunctions that can be corrected through drugs or physical interventions. However, recent studies in the fields of biophysics and quantum medicine show that the body is a field of energy and information constantly interacting with its environment.
According to research by authors such as James Oschman ("Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis") and Beverly Rubik, our biological system is not limited to physical matter but operates through electromagnetic fields, bioacoustic resonances, and vibrational frequencies that influence cellular regulation, the nervous system, and overall well-being. This aligns with studies on brain-heart coherence and the concept of the biofield, which represents the ensemble of energetic fields emitted by the human body.
Thus, the vibrational approach does not merely consider frequencies in a static way but acknowledges that each individual is a unique bioenergetic entity, where frequencies dynamically adjust based on health status, emotions, and the surrounding environment.
The Individual Soundprint: A Unique Vibrational Signature
As Jonathan Goldman states, "We are all unique vibratory beings." From this perspective, every person possesses their own sound signature or "vibrational fingerprint," a kind of acoustic identity card that differentiates them from others.
During Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy (VAHT) sessions, I have observed that each client responds in a highly individual manner to different frequencies. Some perceive deep and relaxing vibrations with low notes, while others react more intensely to higher registers. Furthermore, each individual has specific frequencies that resonate harmoniously with their body, creating a personal sonic identity.
This discovery aligns with concepts already explored in the musical and therapeutic fields. According to Fabien Maman, a pioneer in vibrational medicine, the human body responds to music much like a tuning fork, with resonances that can vary from person to person. Research by Eileen McKusick, in her work on biofield tuning, suggests that the body's energy can be read as a musical score, with points of blockage or dissonance that can be rebalanced through specific sounds.
The Frequency Map of the Human Body: Octave Division and Specific Resonances
Through Vibroacoustic Harp Therapy, it has been possible to outline a preliminary map of body resonance, highlighting how different areas respond to specific frequency ranges.
Data collected in my research on 40 clients between July 2022 and March 2023 showed a clear tendency toward the vertical division of frequencies into octaves, ranging from C1 (32.703 Hz) to C6 (1046.50 Hz):
Frequency Range (Hz) | Body Area |
32.703 - 65.406 Hz (C1 - C2) | Feet, legs |
65.406 - 130.81 Hz (C2 - C3) | Pelvis, abdomen |
130.81 - 261.63 Hz (C3 - C4) | Chest, heart, lungs |
261.63 - 523.25 Hz (C4 - C5) | Head, throat, ears |
523.25 - 1046.50 Hz (C5 - C6) | Biofield, extrasensory perception |
This division suggests that sound vibrations are progressively distributed in higher ranges, involving both the physical body and the energetic and perceptual dimensions.
The Concept of Resonance and the Personalization of Sound Healing
One of the most fascinating aspects of VAHT sessions is the observation of sympathetic resonance. Whenever a frequency comes into contact with the body, it can enhance the energy of a specific area or, conversely, highlight a zone of blockage or tension.
These effects suggest that sound vibrations not only relax tissues but can also release emotional blockages and facilitate deeper states of consciousness.
New Perspectives for the Medicine of the Future
The discoveries from VAHT pave the way for a new vision of vibrational medicine, where sound can be used not only for well-being but also for monitoring and regulating the body's energetic state.
In this scenario, the human body is confirmed as a multidimensional harp, where each frequency plays a unique role in creating balance and inner harmony.
